    Hofbeschreibung:

    Our farm is almost 400 years old and was bought by my mother about 35 years ago. I have a small horse livery yard with 5 horses. We have hens and ducks. We would also like to have a few goats and sheep again. The farm has 2 ha of land, which is used for grazing and as a garden. We have a small swimming pond on the south-facing slope, but it dries out during long dry spells. We would like to restore the pond as part of a project so that it is also useful in the summer. We have a few inoculated tree trunks in the garden that grow edible mushrooms. We also have all sorts of beekeeping equipment in our shed, as Felix and my mum ran it for a while. We are surrounded by woods and meadows. A beautiful secluded location with good connections. It's 20 minutes by car to Linz and 40 minutes to the Czech border. Bus and train are less than 10 minutes away by car. Regarding the living situation, we built a small flat in a vaulted stable 2 years ago. The room contains a kitchen, a bathroom with bathtub, a wood burning stove and a toilet. It is a separate room with peace and quiet.

    Felix, Tamina and our two children Pablo (2019) & Thorin (2022) live on the farm. Monika, the mum of Tamina.

    Was sind die allgemeinen und grundsätzlichen Ziele Ihrer Arbeit?

    Learning about permaculture, continuation of vegetable cultivation, clay huts/yurt acquisition/construction, renovation of the swimming pond, beekeeping, (edible mushrooms), pottery courses, programme design for children around our farm (discovering, feeling, sensing nature)

    Welche speziellen Fertigkeiten können WWOOFerInnen bei uns erlernen?

    Knowledge transfer in vegetable growing, horse keeping, beekeeping and edible mushrooms. General maintenance of an old farm. Handling machines and tools, such as driving a tractor. Gaining experience, exchanging ideas and growing together.

    Kurze Beschreibung der Aufgabenbereiche/Einsatzgebiete der WWOOFerInnen:

    Help with the catering and care of the horses. Garden work as well as general farm work such as: maintaining pasture fences, renewing the workshop

    Unterbringung:

    Apartment with private bathroom, toilet & kitchen or motorhome

    We have a biodegradable sewage treatment plant. We feed our animals organic hay and pasture grass. (Not certified)
